Child Pornography Ring Busted in Hunt County, Texas

A 32-year-old man from Hunt County, Texas, has been sentenced to 60 years in federal prison for producing child pornography. Stephen Walker, who recently resided in Quinlan and Rowlett, Texas, pleaded guilty in February 2015 to two counts of production of child pornography.

According to documents filed in the case, Walker enticed two young girls, ages 7 and 3, to engage in sexually explicit conduct that he photographed and video-recorded. The investigation began in November 2014 after a memory card containing images of child pornography was turned in to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

The memory card had been found at a deer lease in a hunting club in Marion County, where Walker had previously hunted. A search warrant of the memory card revealed multiple sexually explicit videos of prepubescent child pornography taken at Walker’s previous residence in Rowlett.

The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. The FBI, Rowlett Police Department, and Marion County Sheriff’s Office investigated, while Assistant U.S. Attorney Camille Sparks prosecuted.

Walker’s sentence of 60 years in federal prison is a significant blow to those who would seek to exploit and harm children. The community can rest assured that those who engage in such heinous crimes will face justice.
