Ex-Teacher Gets 13 Years for Sexting Minors

⏱ 2 min read

White Plains, NY – A former teacher traded lesson plans for lewd images, and today he learned that cost him 13 years of his life. Kostas Fekkas, 40, was sentenced in White Plains federal court for coercing two girls, ages 12 and 16, into sending him sexually explicit photos and videos.

Fekkas, who went by aliases “Constantine Fekkas” and “C.J. Justice,” pled guilty in September. Court records show he began grooming the 12-year-old victim in 2022, using Snapchat to solicit and receive images, including a video of the girl engaging in sexual activity. A search of Fekkas’s phone in March 2023 turned up the video and screenshots.

But it didn’t stop there. From October 2022 through September 2023, Fekkas turned his attention to a 16-year-old, relentlessly texting her and pressuring her to send him explicit photos and videos which she ultimately did.

“This wasn’t mentorship; it was predation,” said U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton in a statement. “Fekkas abused his position of trust and inflicted lasting harm on these victims.”

Federal agents are urging anyone with information about child exploitation to contact Homeland Security Investigations at 1-866-DHS-2423 or submit a tip online.
