Amidst the dusty streets of Amarillo, Texas, a federal jury has dropped the hammer on Cameron Nesbitt, 33, who was caught with nearly a hundred pounds of pure poison – worth over $400,000 – rolling into town. This wasn’t just another traffic stop; it was the end of a meth-dealing dynasty. Nesbitt was indicted in August ’25 for conspiracy and intent to distribute, after DEA agents hit him with an almost 100-pound meth bust during a traffic stop in Oldham County. The court heard from law enforcement witnesses, and over 40 exhibits were presented. U.S. Attorney Ryan Raybould praised the DPS Troopers and DEA agents who thwarted Nesbitt’s plan to flood Texas streets with danger. ‘This defendant was on a roll until we rolled up on him,’ said Raybould. The DEA’s Special Agent in Charge, Joseph B. Tucker, added, ‘Traffickers who think North Texas is their playground are out of luck.’ The DPS trooper who first spotted something fishy was on patrol on August 2, 2025, when he stopped Nesbitt for speeding.
