Albuquerque Trafficking: Two Minors Exploited

⏱ 4 min read

Roderick Norseweather Jr., 26, is facing serious time after admitting to trafficking two underage girls from California to Albuquerque in December 2024. He lured them with promises of money, then subjected them to exploitation, using a chilling mix of tech and control. Tajahne Johnson, 22, also pleaded guilty to misprision of a felony for helping to cover up the operation.

Norseweather didn’t just move the girls; he built a predatory system. Court papers detail how he supplied them with phones, forced them to share location data via the Life360 app, and even created a bizarre emoji code to track their “appointments.” He paid for hotels, meals, and clothes – all to keep the cycle of exploitation going. He reeled in over $3,000 in profits from their forced encounters.

The pair arrived in Albuquerque via Amtrak on December 29th, 2024. Once here, Norseweather allegedly directed the girls’ activity through texts and Instagram, posting ads with their photos and arranging meetings with buyers. Johnson actively participated in the exploitation, engaging in commercial sex alongside the minors.

The scheme began to unravel when law enforcement intervened on January 3rd, 2025. Johnson immediately tried to distance the girls from Norseweather, texting one of the victims to stay away and lying to investigators about their relationship. But the damage was done. Norseweather faces sentencing on two counts of sex trafficking of children and two counts of transportation with the intent to engage in commercial sex acts. Johnson faces three years in prison after pleading guilty to concealing the felony.
