DC Gun Trafficker Gets 13 Years

⏱ 3 min read

Michael Stuckey, 36, is headed to federal prison for 13 years and 4 months after pleading guilty to running guns from North Carolina into Washington, D.C. The operation, active from August 2022 to July 2024, wasn’t just about quantity – it included illegally modified Glock pistols turned into fully automatic weapons. Stuckey, already a convicted felon, knew he was breaking the law with every gun he touched.

On May 15, 2024, D.C. cops stopped Stuckey on Parkland Place SE and found two loaded Glocks in a backpack with his name on it. One was rigged with a switch, capable of continuous fire. The search also turned up 10.2 grams of meth, 64 grams of marijuana, and packaging clearly meant for street-level dealing.

A month later, on July 1, federal agents raided Stuckey’s residence. They seized a fully automatic Glock, two more machine gun conversion devices, a stash of magazines and ammo, and 23 grams of crack cocaine – again, packaged for sale. The whole setup screamed drug distribution, right out of his front door.

Prosecutors revealed a co-conspirator was buying the Glocks legally in North Carolina through straw purchases—falsifying the required ATF forms. These guns were then shipped up to Stuckey, who, as a convicted felon, was prohibited from possessing any firearms. Judge Loren L. AliKhan sentenced Stuckey to 160 months, followed by three years of supervised release. It’s a solid chunk of time for a man who turned a gun pipeline into a one-stop shop for illegal firepower and drugs.
