Portland Man Hunted Targets Online

⏱ 3 min read

Travis William Juhr, 41, of Portland, is in federal hot water after allegedly using the internet to stalk and threaten two people: a Nevada elected official and a minor. The feds say Juhr’s online rage followed a recent political demonstration, escalating from angry posts to explicit threats delivered last Tuesday.

The indictment details a voicemail left for the Nevada official, followed by a particularly chilling post on X (formerly Twitter). Juhr allegedly wrote, “I hope you have your doors and windows locked. Because I love a challenge when hunting my PREY…” – and included a photo of the victim. Investigators traced the account back to him.

Juhr didn’t stop there. He also allegedly targeted a minor who attended a counter-protest in support of Immigration and Customs Enforcement. After the minor’s personal information surfaced online, Juhr allegedly barraged them with threats via multiple X accounts. Where that leaked personal info came from remains unknown.

Juhr entered a not guilty plea Friday during his first court appearance. If convicted of transmitting interstate threats, he’s facing up to five years in the slammer, three years supervised release, and a $250,000 fine. The FBI is running the investigation, with Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Ethan G. Bodell prosecuting the case. Remember, an indictment isn’t a conviction – Juhr’s presumed innocent until proven guilty.
