Buffalo, NY – Shannell Gosine, 28, of Houston, Texas, is looking at a decade – or possibly life – behind bars after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute cocaine. The feds say Gosine was a key cog in a network funneling narcotics from Mexico, across Texas, and up the East Coast.

Between April 2023 and February 2025, Gosine acted as a courier, personally driving loads of coke to Buffalo and returning south with duffel bags stuffed with cash. We’re talking serious weight: investigators estimate trips netted around 10 kilos of cocaine per run to Buffalo, with more heading to other cities.

This wasn’t a small operation. In April 2023, Ohio cops busted another member of the crew with nearly 19 kilos. Later, in December 2023, Tennessee authorities intercepted Gosine and an accomplice with $100,000, a portion of which was traced back to Buffalo. Then, in May 2024, a traffic stop in New York’s Ontario County turned up another 9.3 kilos of cocaine and over 3.5 kilos of meth.

Gosine was one of seven arrested in April 2025. Winnie Taru Woods, Sharron McCullough, Marlon Holt, Gary Gosine Sr., Ian Dyer, and Norman Patillo are also facing charges. Gosine is the second to cut a deal with the government.

The case is being handled by the Homeland Security Task Force.
