BUFFALO, NY – Shannell Gosine, 28, of Houston, Texas, just admitted she was a key cog in a cross-country cocaine pipeline stretching from Mexico to the streets of Buffalo. Gosine pleaded guilty today to conspiracy to distribute five kilograms or more of the drug, a charge that carries a mandatory minimum of ten years in federal prison.

Prosecutors say Gosine acted as a courier, shuttling bricks of cocaine from Texas to multiple cities, including Buffalo, and then driving back south stuffed with cash. The operation ran from April 2023 until her arrest in April 2025. It wasn’t small-time either. Trips typically involved around 10 kilograms of cocaine heading to Buffalo, with additional kilos going elsewhere.

This wasn’t just talk. Back in April 2023, Ohio cops intercepted 18.93 kilograms of cocaine linked to the same network. In December 2023, Tennessee’s 23rd Drug Task Force hit Gosine and an accomplice with $100,000 in drug money – some of it fresh from Buffalo. Then, in May 2024, New York’s Ontario County Sheriff’s Office found another 9.3 kilograms of coke and over 3.5 kilograms of pure meth in a co-conspirator’s vehicle.

Gosine was one of seven arrested in April, including Winnie Taru Woods, Sharron McCullough, Marlon Holt Jr., Gary Sudesh Gosine Sr., Ian Dyer, and Norman Patillo. She’s the second member of the crew to fold. The feds haven’t named who ratted first, but they’re clearly building a case and more convictions are expected.

The operation was run through the Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF).
