Texas Courier Admits to Cross-Country Coke Run

⏱ 3 min read

Shannell Gosine, 28, of Houston, Texas, copped a plea in Buffalo federal court today, admitting her role as a key courier in a cross-country cocaine operation. Federal prosecutors say Gosine hauled kilos of the drug from Mexico, through Texas, and distributed it across the eastern US – including regular trips to the Queen City – between April 2023 and February 2025. She wasn’t just moving weight; she was also responsible for counting and transporting massive amounts of cash flowing back to Texas.

The operation wasn’t exactly subtle. Back in April 2023, Ohio State troopers pulled over a co-conspirator and found nearly 19 kilos of coke stashed in the vehicle, destined for Buffalo. Later, in December 2023, Tennessee cops intercepted Gosine and another member of the crew with $100,000 in Buffalo-sourced cash. Then, in May 2024, a traffic stop in Ontario County, NY, yielded over nine kilos of cocaine and 3.5 kilos of meth. Investigators believe Gosine and her crew regularly moved around ten kilos of cocaine per trip to Buffalo, with more going to other cities.

Gosine was one of seven busted in April 2025, alongside Winnie Taru Woods (a/k/a Ru), Sharron McCullough (a/k/a Black), Marlon Holt, Jr. (a/k/a Scooter a/k/a Professor), Gary Sudesh Gosine, Sr., Ian Dyer, and Norman Patillo. She’s the second to fall so far. The feds are looking at a minimum of ten years behind bars, but Gosine could face a life sentence and a $10 million fine.

The bust is the result of the work of the Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF), indicating a coordinated push to dismantle the network. No word yet on sentencing dates for the remaining defendants, but the feds seem determined to shut down this pipeline.
