Eric Simpson, Running a Brothel, NY, 2021-2025

⏱ 3 min read

Eric Simpson, 66, a former Rochester public school teacher, wasn’t teaching kids – he was running a brothel. For over four years, from 2021 to late 2025, Simpson allegedly turned his Macedon home into a fully operational prostitution den, raking in cash while facilitating illegal sex acts. Federal prosecutors say the operation was meticulously planned and aggressively marketed.

Known online as “Major Hands,” Simpson didn’t just turn a blind eye, according to the indictment. He actively promoted the services of multiple women, sending out email blasts detailing the ‘dancers’ available—even by name. He charged entry fees, directed parking to avoid drawing attention, and designated specific rooms within the house for transactions. He instructed customers to deal directly with the women on ‘donations,’ a blatant effort to distance himself from the financial aspect.

The operation was so slick, it continued even when Simpson wasn’t present. He allegedly advertised the availability of sex workers at his residence online, listing available services, and allowed them to meet clients independently. Prosecutors claim Simpson effectively rented out his property for profit, treating his home like a commercial venue for illegal activity.

Simpson faces up to five years in federal prison if convicted. Assistant U.S. Attorney Casey L. Chalbeck is handling the prosecution. The case rips back the curtain on the quiet facade of suburban life, revealing the dark undercurrents that can lurk beneath the surface.
