White Plains federal court has meted out a severe sentence to Clydedoro Graham, a Yonkers man found guilty of kidnapping and sex trafficking. Graham was sentenced to 270 months in prison for his despicable actions against a 19-year-old victim.
The conviction stems from an elaborate plot orchestrated by Graham, who used the internet to lure his prey. His accomplice, Alisa Papp, served as lookout while Kevin Graham and Hector Garcia participated in the scheme.
Once inside the trap set by Graham, the young woman was stripped of her possessions and coerced into becoming a prostitute against her will. The captors subjected her to repeated sexual assaults and used psychological pressure to maintain control.
Graham planned to exploit his victim further, even preparing to take her onto the streets to work for him. His scheme came crashing down on June 18, 2014, when Yonkers police officers arrived at his apartment after a tip-off from concerned individuals.
The young woman was safely released by the authorities, bringing an end to Graham’s reign of terror. In addition to his lengthy prison sentence, Graham faces three years of supervised release upon his release.
U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara praised the efforts of the FBI’s Westchester Violent Crimes Task Force for their role in dismantling Graham’s criminal enterprise.
