Thirty-two suspects have been charged for their involvement in a massive heroin trafficking operation that operated on the Northeast Side of Cleveland and Euclid, Ohio. The indictments were announced by Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Timothy McGinty, United States Attorney Steven M. Dettelbach, and other law enforcement officials.

Among those indicted are Derek A. Warner, 20, Willie James Lavel Dunning, 29, and Nassor M. Williams, 28, all charged with multiple counts of heroin distribution. Warner and Dunning also face charges for being felons in possession of firearms.

The state’s indictments focus on heroin and cocaine sales that occurred between February and August this year, many within close proximity to schools. Brandon McBee, also known as “Slim,” faces additional charges of felonious assault after ramming his car into a police vehicle during an undercover operation in Cleveland.

“These are the retailers of death and destruction to neighborhoods and families,” said McGinty. “Everyone will be better off with them in prison.” Law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, pledge continued efforts to rid the streets of drug traffickers.
