Kelvin Thomas, 43, is staring down a potential life sentence for running a sex trafficking ring and slinging dope in Jamestown, New York. The scheme unfolded between October and December 2022, targeting two vulnerable addicts and forcing them into prostitution at a residence on W. Main Street in Falconer, NY. Thomas wasn’t just a middleman – he was actively involved in the exploitation, lining the pockets of co-conspirators Zaid Mendoza and Cora Waddington.
Court records paint a grim picture of Thomas’s role. He allegedly recruited clients using ads on Skipthegames.com, personally drove the victims to appointments (“out calls”), and acted as a bouncer, providing security during forced sex acts. His payment? Heroin and fentanyl. The feds say he wasn’t just exploiting bodies; he was fueling his own habit with the proceeds.
But the exploitation didn’t end there. From August 30th to October 30th, 2023, undercover investigators caught Thomas in three separate controlled buys, scoring fentanyl and meth directly from him. A raid on a Newland Avenue property connected to Thomas turned up stashes of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine, solidifying the link between the sex operation and a full-blown drug pipeline.
Thomas pleaded guilty to both the sex trafficking and drug conspiracy charges before U.S. District Judge John L. Sinatra, Jr. He’s facing a mandatory minimum of five years in federal prison, but the feds are pushing for life. Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua A. Violanti is handling the prosecution.
