Manuel Tirado Sentenced to 15 Years for Oxycodone Distribution

New York City’s Manuel Tirado (34) was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his role in a conspiracy to distribute oxycodone pills and failing to appear in court.

Court documents revealed that Tirado served as a New York-based supplier of the illegal drugs, providing oxycodone to drug traffickers in Manchester, N.H. An investigation spanning 2013-2014, including controlled purchases and wiretaps, exposed the conspiracy involving Samuel Garcia, Jennifer Nunez, and others.

Intercepted calls showed Tirado arranged the supply of pills. Raul Hernandez and Jose Nunez were seen traveling to New York to pick up drugs from Tirado before returning to New Hampshire. In one incident, Jose Nunez was caught with $18,900 in cash intended for oxycodone purchases.

The investigation led to arrests on August 27, 2014. Hernandez was captured attempting to deliver over 600 pills to Garcia and Jennifer Nunez’s residence in Manchester. A search warrant at the location yielded hundreds of additional pills, $30,000 in cash, and three firearms. Garcia, Jennifer Nunez, and Johanna Nunez were arrested that day, with Jose Nunez being apprehended later that year.

Tirado was indicted on a drug conspiracy charge and later pleaded guilty to the charge along with failure to appear. The other conspirators also pleaded guilty, including Samuel Garcia (36), who faces sentencing for various charges, and Jennifer Nunez (26), who awaits sentencing for her involvement in the conspiracy.

Johanna Nunez (30) received a 51-month sentence, followed by three years of supervised release. Raul Hernandez (29) pleaded guilty to his charges as well. The case underscores the serious consequences faced by those involved in drug trafficking and organized crime.
