⏱ 4 min read

On the streets of Norwich, CT, a notorious figure known for cocaine trafficking has relapsed into a life of crime. Javon Morse, 30, previously sentenced to 60 months in prison for trafficking cocaine, was on federal supervised release when he got caught with nearly a kilogram of cocaine, four handguns, and 10 pounds of marijuana.

According to investigators, Morse attempted to flee from Norwich Police during a traffic stop on October 14, 2024, but was eventually taken into custody after discarding a backpack containing narcotics. The search of his storage unit revealed ‘ghost guns,’ loaded magazines, and ammunition.

Morse, who has been detained in federal custody since December 12, 2024, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. He faces a mandatory minimum term of imprisonment of five years and a maximum term of 40 years.

With this guilty plea, Morse’s life is about to take a drastic turn for the worse. His crimes are a stark reminder that even those on supervised release can fall back into old habits and continue to wreak havoc on their communities.
