Texas Meth Dealer Buried His Stash

⏱ 3 min read

Rodolfo Alvarado, 45, of Falfurrias, Texas, is facing a decade in federal prison after copping to a meth trafficking operation centered around Corpus Christi. The feds started building their case in March 2025, tracking Alvarado through texts and bank records. By August 8, 2025, they’d gathered enough to hit his property with a DEA raid.

It wasn’t just scales and baggies the DEA found. Under a shaded area of Alvarado’s backyard, cops discovered a cleverly concealed hole – a wooden board hiding a stash of roughly 303.73 grams of pure methamphetamine. That’s a significant haul, enough to fuel the local supply for a while. The dig revealed how seriously Alvarado was committed to his hustle.

Investigators connected Alvarado to a network of drug deals confirmed with controlled buys. Now, Alvarado’s looking at up to 10 years and a $250,000 fine when U.S. District Judge David S. Morales delivers the sentence on June 18th. Assistant U.S. Attorneys John Lamont and Ashley Pruitt secured the guilty plea and are prosecuting the case.
