Jaime Christian Flores, 36, of Edinburg, Texas, is facing 18 years – 216 months – in federal prison after pleading guilty to a depraved scheme involving child pornography and the grooming of a minor. Federal investigators uncovered Flores’s activities starting in April 2024, revealing a pattern of online abuse and exploitation. A victim’s harrowing impact statement influenced Judge Randy Crane’s sentencing.

Flores wasn’t just a passive viewer. He actively participated in an online ring dedicated to distributing CSAM, uploading 30 images and a video. But that was just the visible portion of his crimes. For a year, Flores relentlessly targeted a 17-year-old girl, flooding her with explicit content in a calculated grooming effort.

A forensic examination of Flores’s phone unveiled a massive digital archive of abuse – 7,647 images and 4,019 videos depicting children from infancy to age 13. He wasn’t merely downloading; he was disseminating the material, sharing it with others. The sheer volume points to a deliberate and repeated pattern of predatory behavior.

Beyond the prison sentence, Flores is ordered to pay $3,000 in restitution to each of 28 victims, totaling $84,000. Upon release, he’ll face five years of supervised release with strict limitations on internet access and contact with children, and will be required to register as a sex offender. He’s expected to surrender to the Bureau of Prisons shortly.
