Bobbie Ryan Accused of $3M Embezzlement at West Point

Whistleblower revelations at the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, N.Y., have led to a major investigation and arrest. Bobbie Cyana Ryan, a former employee, stands accused of masterminding a $3 million embezzlement scheme.

Ryan, 50, is alleged to have used her position in the Information, Education, and Technology Division to authorize payments to a fictitious corporation, CWG Enterprises. The funds were supposedly for staff training that never took place, according to officials.

Further investigation revealed Ryan had been conducting financial transactions under the guise of CWG Enterprises, using a rented mailbox as the company’s address. The stolen funds were funneled into her personal account and cashed out, authorities claim.

Ryan was released on a $30,000 bond and will appear in court again on January 29th. The case is being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, with the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command leading the investigation.
