A Heath Street Gang member/associate, Charles Bomman, 34, of Roxbury, was sentenced yesterday in federal court in Boston on drug conspiracy charges. Bomman was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton to nine years in prison and three years of supervised release.
In January 2025, Bomman pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute controlled substances. This guilty plea was the result of a long investigation into the Heath Street Gang, which culminated in the arrest of over 40 alleged members and associates in February 2024. The charges against these individuals included racketeering conspiracy, drug trafficking, firearms, and financial fraud.
From 2021 through 2024, Bomman participated in a conspiracy to distribute various controlled substances, including powdered cocaine, cocaine base (crack), and fentanyl. The investigation, supported by the Boston Housing Authority Police Department and Massachusetts State Police, revealed the extent of Bomman’s involvement in the drug trade.
The announcement of Bomman’s sentencing was made by United States Attorney Leah B. Foley; Bryan DiGirolamo, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives, Boston Field Division; and Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox. Valuable assistance was provided by the Quincy Police Department, highlighting the collaborative effort to bring Bomman and other gang members to justice.
