Seattle’s streets have been witness to a grim saga of exploitation. Brandon Denzel Washington, a 33-year-old Californian, has been found guilty in federal court of a six-count felony conviction for orchestrating sex trafficking through coercion and violence. This predator targeted women across the United States, luring them into a life of horror that spanned from Washington to Hawaii between 2014 and 2021. The trial, which took place over four grueling weeks, culminated in a jury conviction on three major counts. Sentencing is set for June 18, 2026. The case broke when a retired Bellevue cop picked up on suspicious activity at an upscale apartment complex. Washington’s scheme was fueled by fear and financial gain, with victims recounting harrowing assaults and threats to maintain his control over them. These women, upon escaping Washington’s grasp, found themselves stripped of their earnings, leaving the courts as the last hope for justice.
