Cesar Toledo-Aguilar Sentenced

Cesar Toledo-Aguilar, a 33-year-old man from Mexico, has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for illegal re-entry into the United States after being deported for an aggravated felony.

Toledo-Aguilar pleaded guilty to one count of illegal re-entry as an aggravated felon on November 6, 2014. He admitted to re-entering the United States without permission after being removed from the country on May 5, 2001.

According to court documents, Toledo-Aguilar was encountered by ICE agents on October 14, 2014, after being arrested in Sioux County, Iowa, for supplying alcohol to an underage person. He had previously been convicted of aggravated assault in the Superior Court of Cobb County, Georgia on July 29, 1999.

Toledo-Aguilar was sentenced in Sioux City by United States District Court Judge Mark W. Bennett. In addition to the 18 months of imprisonment, he must also serve a 1-year term of supervised release and pay a special assessment of $100.
