In the sweltering summer of 1921, a young man named Dan Falling, crippled by the weight of his own mortality, made a fateful decision to flee the comforts of civilization. Diagnosed with a terminal illness, he had just six months to live, and the prospect of spending his final days in a sterile hospital was too much to bear. The call of the wild, however, proved too strong to resist. With a heavy heart and a sense of wanderlust, Falling bid farewell to his loved ones in Gitchsspolls and set off into the unknown.
