Ex-Soldier Cedrick Robinson Sentenced to Life for Child Abuse

SAVANNAH, GA — A former Army Soldier has been handed a life sentence after being convicted of sexually abusing a child and attempting to produce explicit material involving another minor. Cedrick Demon Robinson, 42, from Oxford, MS, was sentenced to life imprisonment by U.S. District Court Chief Judge R. Stan Baker on August 12, 2025. The sentence includes a $50,000 fine and $10,200 in special assessments.

Courtroom testimonies revealed that Robinson sexually abused a nine-year-old child in December 2013, fondling the minor’s genitals. In 2017, he requested a sexually explicit photograph from a 15-year-old victim.

U.S. Attorney Margaret E. Heap emphasized the importance of protecting children and seeking justice for sexual predators, stating that this conviction is a decisive step towards safeguarding the vulnerable among us.

Special Agent in Charge Ryan O’Connor of the Army Criminal Investigation Division commended the collaborative efforts with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Georgia, highlighting their instrumental role in securing Robinson’s conviction.

The investigation was conducted by the Army Criminal Investigation Division at Fort Stewart, while Assistant United States Attorneys Michael Z. Spitulnik and Darron J. Hubbard prosecuted the case for the United States.
