In a horrific aviation disaster, five lives were cut short and three more left shattered when a U.S. Army transport plane crashed near the Army Air Depot at Middletown, Pennsylvania, on January 10, 1929. The ill-fated flight, piloted by Lieut. Robert Angel, was bound for Bolling Field in Washington, D.C.
