Feds Indict Michael Stanley Clark in Child Porn Probe

BATON ROUGE, LA — A 31-year-old Denham Springs man is facing federal charges in a shocking child pornography case that has drawn a multi-agency crackdown. Michael Stanley Clark has been indicted on five counts: production of child pornography, distribution of child pornography, transportation of child pornography, possession of child pornography, and forfeiture. The charges stem from a sweeping investigation led by federal and local authorities targeting the sexual exploitation of minors.

Clark isn’t the only one caught in the dragnet. Jerry R. Brown, 48, of Greensburg, Louisiana, was charged with receipt and attempted receipt of child pornography, possession of child pornography, and forfeiture. Also named is 20-year-old Iordan Bossev of Baton Rouge, charged with receipt of child pornography, possession of child pornography, and forfeiture. All three cases were unsealed following grand jury action, marking a coordinated federal push to dismantle networks of child exploitation.

U.S. Attorney Walt Green made it clear: the message is zero tolerance. “These indictments reflect the continuing commitment by this office, together with our federal, state, and local partners, to aggressively pursue those who contribute to the sexual exploitation of our children,” Green said. “The identification, investigation, and prosecution of these offenders is crucial in punishing them and also deterring future offenders from taking advantage of children.”

FBI Special Agent-in-Charge Jeffery Sallet echoed the sentiment, calling child protection one of law enforcement’s highest priorities. “The FBI will continue to vigorously pursue those who seek to exploit children. These indictments demonstrate that commitment,” Sallet stated. The bureau, alongside Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Louisiana Attorney General’s Cyber Crime Unit, and multiple parish sheriff’s offices, played key roles in building the cases.

Assisting the probe were the Livingston Parish District Attorney’s Office, the St. Helena Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Sheriff’s Office of Jefferson County, New York, and the Sheriff’s Office of Washington County, Oregon. Prosecution is being handled by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Cam T. Le and Calvin A. Leipold, III. The cases fall under Project Safe Childhood, a Justice Department initiative aimed at stopping child sexual exploitation through coordinated federal, state, and local action.

It’s critical to note: an indictment is not a conviction. Michael Stanley Clark, Jerry R. Brown, and Iordan Bossev are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. If found guilty, each faces significant prison time, fines, restitution, asset forfeiture, and mandatory supervised release. The investigation continues as authorities work to identify and assist potential victims.
