High School Hijinks: El Centro’s Faculty Takes a Beating

December 14, 1925, will be remembered as a day of humiliation for El Centro’s faculty members. In a shocking turn of events, the local high school basketball team soundly defeated a quintet of educators at the high school gym, with a final score of 31 to 12. The faculty team, comprised of Andy Anderson, George Earle, Oran Cosand, Jessup of the grammar school, and Tom Herring, who filled in as a substitute guard, were no match for the high school squad.
