MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – Louis Wesley Frady, the man from Idabel, Oklahoma, has been handed down a 87-month sentence after being convicted of felony firearm possession, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
On or about November 3, 2015, within the Eastern District of Oklahoma, Frady was alleged to have knowingly possessed a firearm that had been transported in interstate commerce. The crime, which violates Title 18, United States Code, Sections 922(g)(1), 924(a)(2) and 924(e)(1), stemmed from an investigation by the Idabel Police Department, the McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Frady’s sentence includes 87 months imprisonment followed by 3 years supervised release. He will remain in custody pending transportation to a federal facility where he will serve his nonparoleable sentence under the watchful eye of Judge Ronald A. White of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, sitting in Muskogee.
Assistant United States Attorney Dean Burris represented the United States during the hearing. The case against Frady was a joint effort by federal and local law enforcement agencies determined to crack down on illegal firearms in the region.
