Luzerne County Man Charged With Threatening to Murder the President

SCRANTON – Luzerne County man Jordan Gee, 37, of Nanticoke, is facing federal charges for threatening to murder President Joe Biden.

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that Gee was indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of threats against the President and interstate communications with a threat.

According to United States Attorney Gerard M. Karam, the indictment alleges that Gee posted several videos on the Internet shortly before President Biden’s visit to Scranton, Pennsylvania, for a campaign event on April 16, 2024.

In those videos, Gee made several threats to the President and others, including, “Joe Biden: I’m going to kill you and your whole cabinet,” and, “If you come to my city in Scranton, Pennsylvania, I’m cutting your f**king head off in front of everybody; I promise.”

The United States Secret Service is leading the investigation, with Assistant United States Attorney Kyle A. Moreno prosecuting the case.

Gee faces a maximum penalty of twenty years of imprisonment, a term of supervised release following imprisonment, and a fine if found guilty.

As with all indictments, Gee is presumed innocent until found guilty in court.

The case serves as a stark reminder of the gravity of threats against public figures and the consequences of making such threats.
