Michigan Woman Sentenced for Distributing 180 Grams of Methamphetamine

Federal authorities have cracked down on a major methamphetamine distribution operation in Indiana, with a 42-year-old Michigan woman facing serious time behind bars.

Erin Alldredge, of Sturgis, Michigan, was sentenced to 78 months in prison after pleading guilty to three counts of Distribution of Methamphetamine, announced United States Attorney Clifford D. Johnson.

According to documents in the case, Alldredge sold 180 grams of pure methamphetamine in Howe, Indiana on three separate occasions in September 2022. The massive narcotics seizure is a significant blow to the local drug trade.

The investigation, which was led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation with assistance from the Indiana State Police, has been hailed as a major success in the fight against methamphetamine distribution.

Assistant United States Attorney Lesley J. Miller Lowery handled the case, securing a significant sentence for Alldredge.

Alldredge will also serve three years of supervised release after her prison term. The sentence is a stark reminder of the harsh penalties faced by those who engage in methamphetamine distribution.

The case serves as a warning to those who would seek to profit from the sale of illicit narcotics: the consequences are severe and the risks are high.

As the nation continues to grapple with the opioid epidemic, efforts to combat methamphetamine distribution are more important than ever. The sentencing of Erin Alldredge is a step in the right direction, but there is still much work to be done.
