Roanoke Rollin’ 30s Leader Admits to Murder Conspiracy

ROANOKE, VA – Sean Denzel Guerrant, the alleged head of the Rollin’ 30s Crips gang in Roanoke, admitted today to a chilling pattern of racketeering activity, including direct responsibility for a 2017 murder and conspiracy to commit another. Guerrant, also known as “Harlem Dunk,” pleaded guilty to one count of racketeering conspiracy and a separate count of conspiracy to commit murder, effectively sealing his fate.

The case lays bare the brutal reality of gang life in Roanoke’s Lansdowne neighborhood, where the Rollin’ 30s, self-described as the “Dirt Gang,” operated with impunity. According to court documents, Guerrant, along with co-conspirators Trayvone Raycron Kasey, Chauncey Dion Levesy, and Demonte Rashod Mack, ran a criminal enterprise built on intimidation, violence, and ultimately, death. The Rollin’ 30s Crips originated in Los Angeles, California, but established a foothold in Roanoke, terrorizing residents and fueling a cycle of violence.

“There is no higher priority for my Office than prosecuting murders stemming from gang violence,” stated United States Attorney Christopher R. Kavanaugh. “If you shoot and kill another person because of, or in furtherance of, some gang affiliation, you can know that the United States Attorney’s Office, and our partners in law enforcement, are going to investigate and bring federal charges where appropriate.” Kavanaugh emphasized that even those who *order* violence, rather than directly participate, will face the same severe consequences.

The gruesome details of the June 15, 2017 murder emerged during the plea hearing. Guerrant ordered a seventeen-year-old, identified only as N.L., to kill D.F. as punishment for perceived disloyalty and violations within the gang. Kasey drove N.L. to D.F.’s location, while Levesy and Mack provided backup. When N.L. hesitated, Mack reportedly forced a firearm from him at gunpoint. N.L. attempted to flee, but was chased down and shot twice in the back by Kasey and Mack. The Medical Examiner confirmed the back wounds were the cause of death.

Roanoke Police Chief Sam Roman hailed the guilty plea as a step towards justice for the victim and a warning to other criminals. “While nothing can erase the pain that the family and friends of this young man feel after his life was taken, we hope this plea brings some level of peace and comfort to them,” Roman said. “This joint investigation with our federal, state and local partners resulted in the successful conclusion of this homicide investigation.”

FBI Special Agent in Charge Stanley M. Meador underscored the collaborative effort that brought Guerrant to justice. “Today’s result is the culmination of a multi-year, coordinated investigation,” Meador stated. “This conviction shows that the FBI and its partners continue their commitment to investigate and disrupt those individuals and organizations who victimize our communities.” The investigation remains ongoing, and further charges against Guerrant and his co-conspirators are possible.
