Sapulpa Dealer Gets 10 Years for Meth Distribution

Federal prosecutors announced today that a Sapulpa man will spend the next decade behind bars after being convicted of possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge John F. Heil III, who imposed a 120-month prison term on the defendant, followed by five years of supervised release.

According to court documents, the defendant was arrested in November 2022 after law enforcement officers discovered a substantial quantity of methamphetamine during a traffic stop. The drugs were packaged in a manner consistent with distribution, and investigators also recovered cash and scales from the vehicle.

“This sentence reflects the seriousness of methamphetamine trafficking and its devastating impact on communities,” said U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson. “Our office remains committed to prosecuting those who seek to profit from the destruction of lives through drug distribution.”

The investigation was conducted by the Tulsa Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit in coordination with the Drug Enforcement Administration. Federal prosecutors argued for an enhanced sentence based on the quantity of drugs involved and the defendant’s prior criminal history.

The defendant will serve his sentence at a federal facility and will be required to participate in drug treatment programs as part of his supervised release conditions upon completion of his prison term.
