Sapulpa Meth Dealer Hit with Heavy Sentence

It’s a gritty day in Sapulpa, MO, as federal prosecutors deliver justice to a meth dealer who thought he was untouchable. The feds have hit 36-year-old local man, James Thompson, with a heavy sentence for Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute.

Thompson’s distribution spree came to an end after authorities caught him red-handed. They recovered nearly two pounds of pure meth from his home, along with several grams of crack cocaine and hundreds in cash. The feds say Thompson had planned to sell the drugs for tens of thousands of dollars.

The sentencing, handed down by U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson, puts Thompson behind bars for the next ten years. Johnson emphasized that drug dealers like Thompson are a threat to the community and will be held accountable.

“Our streets aren’t safe until we put people like James Thompson away,” said Johnson. “This sentence sends a clear message that meth distribution won’t be tolerated.”

Thompson’s attorney, Robert Malone, argued for leniency, pointing to his client’s lack of prior convictions. However, the judge ruled that the severity of the crime outweighed any mitigating factors.

The Sapulpa community is relieved by the sentence and hopes it serves as a warning to others in the drug trade. Thompson will serve his time at a federal prison facility, where he’ll have plenty of time to think about the consequences of his actions.
