Seattle’s streets just lost a persistent menace. Leon Henderson, 34, got nailed for three counts of dealing deadly fentanyl, plus two firearms violations, and now he’s staring down a 20-year prison sentence. The guy was stopped by Seattle PD three times in 2023, each time with a stash over a thousand fentanyl pills. On two occasions, he had guns. Henderson was convicted after a trial in November 2025. At sentencing, Judge Jamal N. Whitehead pointed out that the dealer knew his customers were vulnerable. ‘Over 18,000 fentanyl pills could lead to 18,000 potential overdoses,’ Whitehead warned. First Assistant U.S. Attorney Charles Neil Floyd and Special Agent W. Mike Herrington of the FBI Seattle office emphasized how this case is a win for federal law enforcement efforts in crime hotspots like North Aurora. Henderson had plenty of chances to mend his ways but kept dealing fentanyl and carrying illegal guns.
