St. Louis Bandit Louquincy Carr Faces Armed Robbery Charges

ST. LOUIS – Louquincy Carr, 35, has been charged by a federal complaint for the daring armed heist of a T-Mobile store in St. Louis, Missouri.

Carr’s initial court appearance is set for today before U.S. Magistrate Judge Nannette A. Baker. The complaint states that on July 24, 2020, Carr entered the T-Mobile on South Grand Boulevard, pointed a silver semi-automatic at an employee, and made off with cash and a phone.

After forcing the employee into the back office, Carr fled the scene, but forensic evidence linked him to the crime. His arrest came in September of that year following a coordinated law enforcement operation targeting violent crime in St. Louis. During the search warrants executed at his known residences, authorities recovered a firearm consistent with the one used in the robbery.

The investigation is part of Operation LeGend, a federal partnership aimed at reducing homicides and violent crime in St. Louis, named in memory of LeGend Taliferro, a four-year-old victim of the city’s deadly 2020 violence wave. Agents from multiple federal agencies have been assisting local law enforcement.

These charges are the result of an FBI and St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department investigation. As always, Carr is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
