Shannell Gosine, 28, of Houston, Texas, confessed in federal court today to acting as a key courier in a coast-to-coast cocaine pipeline. For over a year, from April 2023 to February 2025, the 28-year-old allegedly hauled kilos of the drug from Mexican sources through Texas and into distribution hubs like Buffalo, New York, all while laundering the dirty money back south.
The operation wasn’t small potatoes. Authorities intercepted massive hauls linked to Gosine’s crew. In April 2023, Ohio cops busted a shipment of nearly 19 kilos headed for Buffalo. Just months later, in December 2023, Gosine and an accomplice were stopped in Tennessee with $100,000 in cash – proceeds from Buffalo sales. Then, in May 2024, a New York traffic stop revealed over nine kilos of cocaine and 3.5 kilos of pure meth. Trips reportedly moved around 10 kilos of cocaine into Buffalo alone.
Gosine was one of seven arrested in April 2025, signaling a major crackdown on the organization. Fellow defendants Winnie Taru Woods, Sharron McCullough, Marlon Holt Jr., Gary Sudesh Gosine Sr., Ian Dyer, and Norman Patillo are also facing charges. Gosine’s guilty plea is the second in the case, indicating a tightening Federal net.
She now faces a minimum of ten years behind bars, but could get life. The investigation, part of the Homeland Security Task Force initiative, highlights the relentless push to stem the flow of drugs and money across state lines. Gosine’s sentencing date hasn’t been set.
