CHRISTOPHER JORDAN LEE FOREMAN, 22, of Vian, Oklahoma, is headed to federal prison for 57 months after being convicted of possession of stolen firearms — weapons that crossed state lines and landed in the hands of a convicted felon.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma confirmed the sentence, which includes 3 years of supervised release following prison time. Foreman was convicted under Title 18, United States Code, Sections 922(j) and 2 — charges carrying a maximum penalty of 10 years behind bars, a $250,000 fine, or both.
Court documents reveal that from at least August 29, 2015, Foreman knowingly possessed multiple firearms that had been stolen and transported across state lines — a direct violation of federal law. The guns, law enforcement confirmed, were not only stolen but had circulated in interstate commerce before landing in eastern Oklahoma.
The case emerged from a joint investigation by the Sallisaw Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Agents traced the firearms’ origins and built a case proving Foreman’s possession and awareness of their stolen status — a key factor in securing conviction.
The sentencing hearing was presided over by the Honorable Ronald A. White, U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Foreman was remanded into custody immediately by the U.S. Marshals Service, pending transfer to a federal correctional facility. The sentence is nonparolable — meaning no early release.
Assistant United States Attorney Timothy Hammer prosecuted the case for the federal government, underscoring the DOJ’s continued push to prosecute illegal firearm possession, especially when stolen weapons flood communities. With this conviction, one more armed offender is off Oklahoma’s streets — for now.
