Zayne Ghandi Anderson Sentenced

Zayne Ghandi Anderson, a 41-year-old Shreveport man, has been sentenced to 121 months in prison for sex trafficking of a minor. This sentence is a significant blow to those who would seek to exploit and harm vulnerable young people in our community.

According to the June 13, 2016 guilty plea, Anderson posted online advertisements for the prostitution of minors, leading undercover law enforcement agents to investigate and ultimately discover a 16-year-old female being exploited. The ads, which were posted by Anderson, solicited money in exchange for sex with the minor.

The investigation, conducted by the FBI Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force, revealed the disturbing extent of Anderson’s crimes. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Earl M. Campbell and Jonathan S. Drucker prosecuted the case, working tirelessly to ensure that justice was served.

United States Attorney Stephanie A. Finley announced the sentencing, stating, “This sentence reflects our commitment to halt the sex trafficking of young girls in this district. My office will continue to work with our partners in law enforcement to ensure that individuals who commit these crimes are found and convicted.” This commitment to justice is a beacon of hope for those who have been affected by these heinous crimes.

In addition to the 121-month prison sentence, Anderson was also sentenced to five years of supervised release and must register as a sex offender. This sentence will help to protect the community from further harm and ensure that Anderson is held accountable for his actions.

The sentencing of Zayne Ghandi Anderson serves as a reminder that law enforcement and the justice system are working tirelessly to combat the exploitation and harm of vulnerable individuals. As a community, it is our responsibility to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities. By working together, we can create a safer and more just society for all.

The case against Anderson is a testament to the dedication and hard work of law enforcement and the justice system. The FBI Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force, along with the U.S. Attorney’s office, has demonstrated a commitment to protecting the most vulnerable members of our society. As we move forward, it is essential that we continue to support and prioritize these efforts to combat sex trafficking and exploitation.
