A 14-year-old boy was arrested in Omaha, Nebraska, on April 12, 2024 after his mother called the police to report finding a gun in his backpack.
According to the police report, the mother discovered the firearm in the boy’s backpack and immediately contacted the authorities. The police arrived at the scene and took the boy into custody.
The boy was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Minor and is currently being held at the Douglas County Youth Center.
