DoorDash Workers Rush to Claim $16.75M Settlement by Dec 31

New York – In a landmark move to rectify years of wage theft, Attorney General Letitia James has extended the filing deadline for eligible DoorDash delivery workers to claim their share of a $16.75 million settlement.

The AG’s office secured the substantial sum following an investigation that exposed DoorDash’s practice of using tips meant for delivery workers, known as Dashers, to subsidize guaranteed pay. This fraudulent scheme left thousands of Dashers in New York out of pocket.

“Delivery workers keep this city running, and they deserve to see every dollar earned for their hard work,” James stated with conviction.

With the deadline now set at December 31, 2025, at 11:59 p.m., AG James is urging all eligible Dashers who received a settlement notice to submit their claims online immediately. Over 63,000 workers are eligible, and as of December 3rd, more than 30,000 have already filed their claims.

The AG’s office revealed that DoorDash’s guaranteed pay model misled customers into believing tips were directly benefiting Dashers when they were actually used to reduce the company’s costs. The investigation found insufficient disclosures about this practice during the ordering process, leaving Dashers in the dark about how their earnings were being affected.

Atticus Administration has been appointed as the independent administrator for the settlement. Those with issues filing a claim or questions about the settlement can contact 1-800-270-1039 or send an email to info@NYDoorDashSettlement.com. More information is available on OAG’s website.
