PHILADELPHIA – The streets of Philadelphia are buzzing with the grim news that Dion Jordan, 35, has been charged by a federal grand jury for his alleged role in three bank robberies. The man known as ‘Philly Thug’ now faces life imprisonment if convicted.
Jordan is accused of attempting to rob Wells Fargo Bank on Germantown Avenue back in June 2014. But that’s not all. He’s also charged with robbing a branch in Chalfont, Pennsylvania, twice—once without weapons and once armed to the teeth.
The first incident, an attempted robbery, was reported at Wells Fargo Bank on County Line Road on June 13, 2014. But it seems Jordan wasn’t deterred by his failure to make off with the cash that day.
Just three months later, on September 24, 2014, Jordan struck again, this time fully armed and ready for a violent confrontation at the same Chalfont branch. His brazen actions have now landed him in serious trouble with the law.
The investigation into these crimes was handled by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), which has been relentless in its pursuit of justice. Assistant United States Attorney Yvonne Osirim is leading the prosecution against Jordan, who will enter the courtroom as a defendant in this case.
Remember, an indictment is merely an accusation, and until proven guilty, Dion Jordan is presumed innocent. However, if he’s found guilty on all charges, the maximum sentence could be life behind bars.
