Oklahoma Man Pleads Guilty to Child Sex Exploitation

GRIMY TIMES – MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA: Marcus Wayne Hall, a 42-year-old resident of Muskogee, Oklahoma, has admitted to a federal crime that shocks the community – he stands guilty of Possession of Certain Material Involving the Sexual Exploitation of Minors.

Hall’s transgression is a severe violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 2252(a)(4)(B) and 2252(b)(2). The investigation that led to Hall’s downfall was a joint effort between the Colorado Springs Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

According to the charges, from November 2011 to March 1, 2012, Hall possessed and attempted to possess visual depictions involving minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. These materials were transported via computer across state lines, a clear indication of the cyber dimension of this heinous crime.

The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, presided over by Magistrate Judge Kimberly E. West, accepted Hall’s guilty plea. A presentence report will now be prepared, and sentencing will follow its completion. Hall remains in custody until his fate is determined by the court, which may impose up to 10 years imprisonment and/or a $250,000 fine.

Assistant United States Attorney Edward Snow represented the prosecution in this case, ensuring that justice would be served for the victims of this despicable offense. The Muskogee community is left grappling with the reality of such a perversion, while Hall’s actions serve as a stark reminder of the lengths some will go to exploit our most vulnerable citizens.
