Douglass Gurney Wood, Jr., 53, of Fort Collins, Colorado, is headed to federal prison for 15 years after being nailed for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Sentenced on December 8, 2016, by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Wood’s criminal run ended in a courtroom where the weight of his actions finally caught up with him.

Wood was arrested in Cheyenne, Wyoming, where federal and local authorities closed in after a targeted investigation led by the Cheyenne Police Department.
