Twenty-five defendants tied to the ‘Major Stackz Entertainment’ street gang have been indicted on federal drug trafficking charges, accused of flooding West Tennessee with cocaine, meth, heroin, and marijuana. The U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Western District of Tennessee unsealed the indictment on February 7, 2018, following a pre-dawn law enforcement sweep that rounded up suspects across multiple jurisdictions.
The indictment, originally returned by a federal grand jury on January 10, 2018, outlines a violent, profit-driven drug operation rooted in East Memphis near Kerr and Pillow streets—a zone locals call ‘DHG,’ shorthand for ‘Dope, hoes and guns.’ These defendants, many with known ties to traditional gangs like the Young Mob, Vice Lords, Gangster Disciples, Kitchen Crip, and Bloods, allegedly banded together under the ‘Major Stackz’ banner to funnel drugs and cash through a tightly guarded network.
Firearms were central to the operation’s enforcement tactics. Count 1 charges Jarvis Cooper, a/k/a ‘J-Bo,’ ‘J-Bizzle,’ 31; Terence Harper, a/k/a ‘Red,’ 44; Jackie Arnold, a/k/a ‘Jackie Red,’ 47; Pamela Perkins, 28; Joseph Newberry, 40; Anthony Jones, a/k/a ‘Squirt,’ 24; Calvin Myers, a/k/a ‘CJ,’ 20; Antonio Worles, a/k/a ‘Joe,’ 19; Darnell Ward, a/k/a ‘D,’ 37; Antwan Miles, a/k/a ‘Twan,’ 20; Sandreka Wright, 34; Amanda Harrison, 35; and Sanitory Campbell, a/k/a ‘Toe,’ 43—all of Memphis or Henning, Tennessee—with knowingly possessing and carrying firearms during drug trafficking crimes.
Count 2 escalates the charges, accusing Cooper, Harper, Ward, Newberry, Jones, Myers, Worles, Miles, Harrison, Wright, Delbert Harrison, a/k/a ‘Clay,’ 30, Henning, Tennessee; Alberto Chavoya, 34; Daryl Mason, a/k/a ‘D,’ 28; Tim Scotto, 53, Cordova, Tennessee; Sergio Lopez, 34, Compton, California; and Campbell of intent to distribute over 50 grams of methamphetamine. Count 3 targets Harper, Ward, Lopez, Campbell, and others with intent to distribute more than one kilogram of heroin-laced mixtures.
Count 4 specifically names Terence Harper and Jackie Arnold for their alleged role in distributing over 5 kilograms of cocaine. The operation, cloaked in gang branding, used ‘MSE’—’Major Stackz Entertainment’—as a unifying symbol. Members flaunted the acronym on clothing and social media, turning street identity into criminal currency.
The takedown was part of the Department of Justice’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) initiative, a coordinated federal effort to dismantle major drug syndicates. With 18 defendants already in custody, including high-ranking figures like Cooper and Harper, prosecutors aim to sever the gang’s grip on Memphis neighborhoods long plagued by violence and addiction. The case continues to unfold in federal court.
