Orlando Man Charged with Arson at Inter&Co Stadium
Orlando, Florida – In a shocking incident, Giovanni Isai Ramirez Reyes, a 37-year-old Orlando resident, has been indicted for arson resulting in injury at Inter&Co Stadium.
According to court documents, on February 24, 2024, Ramirez Reyes lit two flares and threw them into the crowd during a soccer match at Inter&Co Stadium, causing a larger fire that damaged the stadium and resulted in burns to a child attending the match.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Orlando Police Department, and the Orlando Fire Department investigated the incident, and Assistant United States Attorney Adam J. Nate will be prosecuting the case.
As per court documents, if convicted, Ramirez Reyes faces a mandatory minimum penalty of 7 years, up to 40 years, in federal prison.
