Eleven alleged members of a major drug trafficking organization in southwestern Connecticut have been charged with federal offenses, including drug trafficking and firearm violations. United States Attorney Vanessa Roberts Avery, DEA Special Agent Stephen Belleau, and Stamford Police Chief Timothy Shaw announced the charges.

According to court documents, Rodney Canada, also known as ‘Supreme,’ is accused of leading the organization that distributed large quantities of fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, and crack cocaine. His associates, including Terrell Wills (‘Black Fred’) and Ramion Baker (‘Ray Ray’), are charged with aiding in the distribution network.

Defendants Will Bazelais, Christopher Adams, Gerald Coley (‘G Rock’), Benjamin Dozier (‘Ace’ and ‘Blanco’), Danny Turkvan (‘Smooth’), Gavin Hammett (‘G’ and ‘Silk’), Jimmy Arce (‘Boe,’ ‘Slim,’ and ‘Jimbo’), and Omar Parra (‘D’ and ‘Dee’) are all facing federal charges for their roles in the drug ring. Parra has been detained since March.

The investigation, which included wiretaps and controlled purchases, led to the arrest of the defendants on May 14, 2024, and resulted in the seizure of nearly three kilograms of cocaine, over 400 grams of fentanyl, five firearms, a bulletproof vest, and seven vehicles. Parra was arrested earlier on March 19, 2024.

A federal grand jury returned indictments against the 11 defendants on May 22, 2024. Canada, Wills, Baker, Bazelais, Adams, Coley, Dozier, and Turkvan face conspiracy charges with a maximum sentence of 20 years. Adams and Baker are charged with cocaine possession for distribution, and Baker is also accused of unlawful firearm possession.

Hammett faces charges including intent to distribute large quantities of cocaine and fentanyl, carrying a mandatory minimum of five years and a maximum of 40 years in prison. He has previous federal convictions for cocaine trafficking.
