Springfield Predator Dusty Jacaway Sentenced for Child Pornography

EUGENE, Ore. – In a chilling testament to the depths of human depravity, Dusty Jacaway, a 29-year-old Springfield resident, was today handed down a 250-month federal prison sentence for producing child pornography.

Documents from the Lane County Sheriff’s Office reveal that in October 2024, deputies uncovered Jacaway in a vehicle with a 13-year-old victim (MV1). Following a thorough examination of their cell phones, authorities discovered two harrowing videos depicting Jacaway sexually assaulting MV1 inside his car.

Further investigations led to the grim realization that Jacaway met MV1 online when the child was just 12 years old. The predator exploited the boy’s vulnerability, providing him with methamphetamine and trafficking him to a local pornography den where he traded cash and drugs for the right to abuse MV1.

Jacaway’s reign of terror extended beyond physical abuse; he threatened to kill MV1 if ever apprehended by authorities. The court documents paint a picture of a predator who was both physically and emotionally abusive, holding his victim in an ever-tightening grip of fear.

After serving his sentence, Jacaway will be subjected to life-long supervised release, a fitting punishment for such a heinous crime. He has also been ordered to pay $3,000 in restitution to the traumatized victim.
