U.S. Attorney for the Central District of Illinois, John R. Childress, praised the efforts of law enforcement in bringing Rivers to justice, saying, ‘This case demonstrates the ongoing commitment of the U.S. Attorney’s Office and our law enforcement partners to combatting the scourge of cocaine trafficking in our community.’
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Bryan David Freres and is set to proceed to trial in the coming months.
