Eight individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with a large-scale drug trafficking operation in Washington Parish, Louisiana.
According to a press release from the Google Drug Crime, the defendants were taken into custody on March 20, 2024 and are facing various charges related to the distribution and possession of controlled substances.
The charges include conspiracy to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, and money laundering. The defendants are being held at the Washington Parish Jail pending their arraignment.
The investigation, which was led by the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office, involved a multi-agency effort to disrupt and dismantle the drug trafficking operation. The case is ongoing, and further charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
