Local Man Sentenced to 5 Years for Methamphetamine and Fentanyl Trafficking

BANGOR, Maine – On May 2021, members of the Bangor Police Department responded to a gas station to find Blaine Footman, 35, passed out behind the wheel of a running vehicle. According to court records, Footman possessed with the intent to distribute five grams or more of methamphetamine and an amount of fentanyl. He was also in possession of a Glock Model 19 9mm handgun.

The case was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency with assistance from the Bangor Police Department.

On June 22, 2021, Footman pleaded guilty to the charges.

U.S. District Judge Lance E. Walker sentenced Footman to five years in prison and four years of supervised release.
