Winston Colon Correa, a Bronx man, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for enticing minors and possessing child pornography. The crimes occurred in the Bronx, New York, starting in at least 2022. Correa preyed on children by pressuring them to record and send videos of themselves engaged in sexually explicit conduct. He even met with one of his child victims and pressured her to have sex, which he recorded.
Correa’s crimes were uncovered after law enforcement reviewed his electronic devices, revealing sexually explicit text message conversations with numerous minor girls he met online. Despite knowing he was communicating with minors, Correa continued to engage in these conversations, even falsifying his age to gain the trust of his victims.
The investigation and prosecution of Correa’s crimes were led by the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, with the support of law enforcement partners. US Attorney Jay Clayton emphasized the importance of pursuing those who exploit children, stating that there is no place for predators in New York other than prison.
Correa’s sentence was imposed by US District Judge Jennifer H. Rearden, who also presided over his guilty plea. The sentence reflects the severity of Correa’s crimes and the need to protect children from predators like him.
